Those who don’t succeed in starting their own business have neglected these simple but powerful components that fuel success in business.

I’m talking about three inescapable aspects of success. They are time, belief in yourself and putting in the work. Let’s explore these three topics closer.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day but how we use them determines whether we will be a success or a failure in our businesses. In order to have a successful business your time needs to be managed. If you were good with time management before you decided to start a business, then this should not be an issue for you. You should proceed as normal and manager time as you have in the past.

But if you were horrible with managing time, interjecting a machine with many moving parts that need to be measured and monitored, will obviously cause issues. If you are the latter, here are couple tips to help get control over your time.

Learn to manage your time.

As coach, I’ve learned that you can’t change anything that isn’t measured. Track and record your time. How much time do you spend on Facebook, personal and work related? What amount of time do you spend watching your favorite shows during the week? Is a large portion of your time spend unproductively with friends? Are you using your time productively during the week?

These are questions that will begin to help you see where your time is spent. And hopefully show you where you have a chance to regain time that you can now devote to your business.

Once you have regained more hours in your day, look to creating systems that will make processes like content creation and posting to Facebook easier.

How to succeed when starting a business takes belief in yourself.

You want to start a business but first you must believe that you can start  and maintain this business. The end result must be greater than what you’re currently doing for pay. There must be a belief that it’s all worth it in the end. That the product or service you are providing will make a difference to someone looking to make a change in their life.

You must believe this first before you bring it to a customer. You need to be the number one fan for your business, for the change it brings to this world. This Share your authentic experienced of your product or service power. Remind yourself of its power and shout its praises to anyone who will listen.

Find your way to convey this message (make this message yours) and you will succeed. You will go above and beyond and this will show in your work. Which will attract more customers to you. Find that aspect of your business that you believe in and make that a daily reminder.

You’ve managed time and you have the belief, now you have to put in the work. There’s no way around it. Faith without works is dead. So you have to have a plan that you can execute.

Continuing to maintain your time management schedule plus staying in alignment with your beliefs is an excellent plan of action. This will fuel you to put in the work. To stay up late and get up early to make it happen. To meet the deadlines and reach the goals that you set for yourself and your business.

This may sound like a rough journey but this is where the fun begins. Creativity and problem solving skills are activated. This is where you change and grow into the person that owns a business like the one of your dreams. The magic happens here. So embrace this part of the journey and know that you are on the path to having your successful business.
